Ashley Greene Discusses The Apparition and How to Perform the Best Scream
08.24.12 by Ryan
Ashley Greene is most often recognized for playing Alice Cullen in the Twilight movies, recently admitting to CNN that the amount of attention and scrutiny she gets just walking around gets "a little creepy sometimes." However, in her latest project, the supernatural horror movie The Apparition, there isn't a vampire in sight, but that doesn't mean things don't get creepy.
Greene stars alongside Sebastian Stan as a young couple who are haunted by a presence that feeds on fear and follows them wherever they try to run. Like most horror movie characters, the role required a good amount of screaming for Greene, and, while talking to Hollywood Dailies, the actress shared her tips on the proper screaming technique.
I really think, just...do it from the gut. No nasally scream, that's just annoying. People will someone to make you stop screaming if you're doing it that way.
With The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 opening in November and ending the franchise, Greene was gracious about her Twilight experience, but admitted that she was "excited" about her future.
Playing Alice is very fun. I mean that character is pretty much the best character in the world. She's happy and bubbly and funny, and being able to go to these premieres and seeing all these fans, I mean, it's kind of this irreplaceable, incredible high. But I think it is a nice thing to have the time to be able do other films and kind of branch out and use the opportunity that Twilight's afforded me. So, you know, I'm going to miss it, but I'm excited about the future.
Written and directed by newcomer Todd Lincoln. Tom Felton (Harry Potter) co-stars as a supernatural expert. Check out the trailer below.
