Firefox: High-flying patriotic action!
Strap yourself in and get ready for the ride of your life. Tonight's movie is the 1982 Cold War classic produced, directed by and starring Clint Eastwood, Firefox.
When the Soviet Union makes a leap ahead in the arms race by developing a thought-controlled fighter jet that is invisible to radar and capable of delivering a nuclear payload, the U.S. and the U.K. respond by hatching a plot to steal the prototype aircraft, code named "Firefox." Former U.S. Air Force Major Mitchell Gant (Eastwood) is chosen for the job because of his experience as a pilot during the Vietnam War and because of his command of the Russian language. But, even if Gant manages to outwit the KGB and steal the prototype aircraft, he will still have to contend with the prototype's twin and its equally-skilled Soviet pilot (Kai Wulff).
