Anyone that saw the 2009 thriller Taken knows that the title is no misnomer, as it followed former CIA agent Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) and his search for the human traffickers that took his daughter Kim (Maggie Grace). In the sequel, it's not Mills' daughter that gets, ahem, taken, but Mills himself, leaving his daughter to find a way to free her parents from the vengeful father (Rade Sherbedgia) of one of Mills' victims from the first movie.
In the clip, Mills has been, uh, captured and yet somehow is able to place a call to Kim. What's the first trick Mills pulls from his "particular set of skills" toolkit? Having Kim throw a diversionary grenade out the window! It'll probably all make sense when Taken 2 opens on October 5th. Until then, enjoy the clip below.
For those that love comedies and a cappella competitions, Pitch Perfect is the movie for you. The plot follows Beca (Anna Kendrick), who arrives at her new school and finds herself involved in an all girls a cappella group that competes against the boys. In the first clip from the movie, Beca is confronted by a slightly-drunk Jesse (Skylar Astin), who decides the time is right to flirt with her.
In the next clip, Bridesmaids actress Rebel Wilson co-stars as Fat Amy, and in the below clip, introduces herself before the audition and reveals her "mermaid dance" technique.
Pitch Perfect opens on October 5th.
If you don't like musicals or comedies, or musical comedies, but do like Anna Kendrick, then End of Watch may be more your speed. The gritty cop drama follows two LAPD officers (Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena) as they patrol the streets of South Central Los Angeles and end up being targets of a drug cartel. In the below clip, released by Yahoo!, the two officers are warned not to involve themselves in any activity in a cartel-run area of town.
In a lighter moment, Officer Zavala (Pena) gives a little grief to his superior officer (Frank Grillo) after he gives them a speech about ticketing more often.
End of Watch opens on September 29th.
