Today's Hot Trailer: Sundance Selection The First Time Finds Laughs and Love in Teen Romance

It's about, you know, falling in love or whatever
Unrequited love. Youth. Pool Parties. Such are a few of the tenets of the American teenage experience and the world that encompasses The First Time, the sophomore feature from director Jonathan Kasdan, whose first movie, In the Land of Women skyrocketed Kristen Stewart to fame and fortune (or was that Twilight?). The First Time follows high school senior Dave (Teen Wolf's Dylan O'Brien), whose trying to woo his friend and dream girl Jane (Victorious' Victoria Justice) until he meets Aubrey (Scream 4's Britt Robertson) and falls in love. Only trouble is, Aubrey is already with the older Ronny (Animal Kingdom's James Frecheville). That's, like, a love square!
While it might appear like The First Time is yet another teen dramedy with a predictable outcome, the movie's premiere at the Sundance Film Festival brought mostly solid reviews, with Slashfilm calling it a "a coming of age story which is smart, funny, and able to touch your soul," and HitFix called it "likeable and relatable." With The First Time's
first trailer now online, audiences can see for themselves.
