Today's Hot Trailer: Giants Attack in Jack the Giant Slayer
11.27.12 by Ryan
Had everything gone as originally planned, Jack the Giant Slayer would have already arrived in theaters this summer, but at the top of the year, Warner Bros. decided to push the release until next year instead, avoiding competition from the box office behemoth that was Madagascar 3. Now, finally, a new trailer has arrived online nearly a year after the first trailer debuted.
The first trailer focused on the movie's similarities to the Jack and the Beanstalk fairy tale, revealing a young farmhand named Jack (X-Men:First Class' Nicholas Hoult) and the trouble he encounters when he gets those legendary magical beans wet. The latest trailer is less concerned with the facets of the original tale and instead reveals more of the giants that Jack will have to face in order to save the princess (Alice in Wonderland's Eleanor Tomlinson), including the two-headed leader of giants (voiced by Bill Nighy, and John Kassir).
