Voting Has Begun for the First Annual Reelzie Awards
12.14.12 by Mandy
Most major movie awards are voted on by an elite group of individuals who have been bestowed with the honor of being a voting member of a very exclusive club or academy. The Reelzies are no different, and this is your official invitation to be a voting member of the ReelzChannel Academy of Movies, Media, the Interwebs, and Other Stuff. Ballots for different categories will be posted daily until year’s end, so be sure not to miss a voting opportunity.
Some movies have poetic titles, some have generic titles, and others have puzzling, overly complicated titles, but every now and again a movie title just lays out the whole concept. Nobody really needs a synopsis, because it's all right there in the title, and for these flicks we present the On-the-Nose Title Award.
And the Nominees For The 2012 On-the-Nose Title Award Are:
Chimpanzee: A Disney documentary about a troop of chimpanzees.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter: A flick in which Lincoln is a vampire hunter.
Man on a Ledge: Sam Worthington spends most of the movie on, well, a ledge.
Lincoln: A straightforward, factual movie about the 16th President of the United States.
What to Expect When You’re Expecting: A movie about a bunch of ladies who are expecting.
Be sure to vote on tomorrow's category: The Counterintuitive Title Award. If you miss a day's voting, find you missing "ballots" by visiting our Awards Watch page.
