The First Annual Reelzie Awards: Here Are the Nominees for the Least Intuitive Movie Titles of 2012
12.15.12 by Mandy
I heard of that movie. What's it about again?
Sure it's easy to remember a movie title if it's called Lincoln and it's about Abraham Lincoln or if it's called The Muppets and it stars the Muppets. However there are some movies in which the title gives no indication of what they're about or the title is so generic it could be for any movie of the same genre.
We've picked out the five movie titles that seemed the least related to their movie's content, but now it's up to our voting members to decide which movie title is the most counter-intuitive. Click through the jump to place your vote.
And the Nominees for the Least Intuitive Movie Title of 2012 Are:
Rise of the Guardians: Oh, that's the movie about those owls right?
No. It's that animated movie with Santa and the Easter Bunny.
Won't Back Down: Alright, this is the movie where Kevin James is a teacher who decides to become a boxer or MMA fighter or something.
Nope. Actually it's the Maggie Gyllenhaal and Viola Davis movie about the mom and teacher who are trying improve an inner city school.
Zero Dark Thirty: They keep mentioning that one at awards stuff. Which one is that?
It's the movie about SEAL Team 6 taking out bin Laden.
Here Comes the Boom: Is that a documentary about sound guys who work on movies?
Nope, it's that Kevin James movie we mentioned earlier.
The Awakening: They made a movie based on that Kate Chopin novel this year?
No, they made a movie about a ghost.
