Is there one beard that can rule them all?
There has been no shortage of facial hair in the movies of 2012, but what movie character had the best beard of the year? Help decide which beard takes the number one spot by voting in the first annual Reelzie awards.
Nori (far left)
Played by Jed Brophy, Nori is one of the dwarves in The Hobbit an Unexpected Journey and is the brother of Ori and Dori. The braids in Nori's beard make it a standout in the cinematic beards of 2012.
Dori (second from left)
Played by Mark Hadlow, Dori is one of the dwarves in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and is brother of Ori and Nori. The silky silverness of his beard and the way the shape of the eyebrows compliment the shape of the mustache are what make this facial hair a strong contender.
Played by Graham McTavish, Dwalin is is one of the dwarves in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and is the brother of Balin. The stark contrast between the full, lush beard and the shiny bald head is striking and sure to win many votes.
Balin (second from right)
Played by Ken Stott, Balin is one of the older dwarves in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and is the brother of Dwalin. His full white beard is tinged with a touch of yellow, and both his hair and beard look as though they see a hair dryer on a regular basis.
Tony Mendez (far right)
Played by Ben Affleck, Tony Mendez is the CIA operative at the center of Argo. He wears his this beard high on his cheeks, and the beard's sprinkling of salt and pepper gives his facial hair some nice color variation that's not featured in the dwarf beards.
