"That's quite a nice little nothing you're almost wearing. I approve."
Sean Connery's final appearance as 007 came in 1971's Diamonds Are Forever, which the actor shot after sitting out 1969's On Her Majesty's Secret Service, which became George Lazenby's sole appearance as Bond. In order to come back, Connery was paid £1.25 million pounds, which the actor used to create the Scottish International Education Trust, which offered funding to Scottish artists.
Based on the seventh novel of Ian Fleming's Bond series, Diamonds Are Forever follows 007 as he infiltrates a diamond smuggling ring, only to find out that his old nemesis Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Charles Gray) is planning to use the diamonds to create a giant laser. Bond's hunt takes him all over the world, from Las Vegas, Nevada, to Amsterdam, Holland, and, eventually, to an oil rig off the coast of Baja, California. We have more 007 movies all month long, see schedule for dates and times.
