"I am better. At everything."
Fans still had a lot of questions about Star Trek Into Darkness even after the second trailer for the highly-anticipated sequel debuted in December. The biggest question of all remains: who is John Harrison, the villainous character played by Benedict Cumberbatch's (BBC's Sherlock, Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy) and how exactly is he turning Captain Kirk's (Chris Pine) life upside down? Now, a new question has been revealed: what has happened to the Enterprise and why is it half-destroyed?
Not that Star Trek Into Darkness's Super Bowl TV spot is looking to answer that question, but it does offer it. From the looks of things, Kirk may have finally met his own personal "Kobayashi Maru" test, and, this time, he can't cheat his way out of it.
Star Trek Into Darkness was directed by J.J. Abram and brings back Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Anton Yelchin, John Cho and Simon Pegg as the crew of the Enterprise and introduces Alice Eve (She's Out of My League) as Dr. Carol Marcus.
