QuickClick: Is This 4-Minute, Fan-Made Bond Tribute Better Than the One at the Oscars?

The recent Oscar telecast included a segment that celebrated the 50th Anniversary of James Bond, which included a montage of clips from the character's movie history and Shirley Bassey singing the title song from Goldfinger. The tribute received a beating from critics online this week, with one outlet calling it a "bust" while another claimed that the tribute felt "fifty years long." However, The Playlist has found an alternative James Bond tribute, one it believes is superior to the Oscars' tribute.
Created by a 19-year-old Dutch film student named Kees van Dijkhuizen Jr, the tribute starts with a scene from 2006's Casino Royale before going back to Dr. No and showing chronological clips of the actors that have played Bond, from Sean Connery through George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and, finally, back to Daniel Craig. The whole video is set to Adele's title song for Skyfall, which won an Oscar for Best Original Song. Whatever you think of either tribute, all we can say is Gefeliciteerd, Kees!
