"I don't know how to say this but you do not, nor have you ever, worked for this company."
Have you ever showed up for work only to find that everything is gone and your former employers have marked you and your estranged daughter for termination? Such is the case for Aaron Eckhart in the upcoming thriller Erased (formerly The Expatriate), with Eckhart playing an ex-CIA agent who works as a security adviser for an European multinational corporation who arrives to work one day to find that everything has disappeared and his co-workers have vanished. Soon, he and his daughter (Liana Liberato) are on the run from Eckhart's former CIA partner (Olga Kurylenko) who is tracking down the father and daughter.
Erased is finally seeing release in the United States next month, though it was one of the most pirated movies of last year after being released in France on DVD last September. Shot in 2011, Eckhart spent four months training for the role. "I learned a lot about self-reliance, street fighting, how to get out of a knife fight, stuff like that," the actor told EW at the time. There's a little bit of Echkart's training on display in the movie's first trailer, but hopefully there's even more in the final product.
Directed by Phillip Stölzl (Young Goethe In Love), Erased arrives on VOD April 5th and will enter theaters May 10th.
