Victor Crowley Returns in Hatchett III Teaser

For those that have been keeping up with the Hatchet movies, the end of 2010 sequel Hatchet II seemed to reveal that Marybeth (Danielle Harris) had finally brought an end to the deformed, swamp-dwelling murderer Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder) through various uses of destruction. However, as with all good horror franchises, it's hard to keep a good killer down, and so it looks like Crowley has somehow returned and Marybeth still has her worked cut out for her in Hatchet III.
Gone is director Adam Green (Frozen), who still wrote the script, with Hatchet and Hatchet II camera operator BJ McDonnell taking over, but the sequel's teaser trailer doesn't look like it's going to break the mold of the previous two movies. In this third installment, Marybeth learns the secret behind the voodoo curse that has allowed Crowley to haunt the Honey Island Swamp for so many years, and will receive help from new faces like Zach Galligan (Gremlins) and Derek Mears (Friday the 13th), who has previously described his role as a "douche-y SWAT team commander named Hawes who is no-nonsense and leads a team of officers into the swamp to take out Victor Crowley once and for all". Considering Mears played Jason in the Friday the 13th remake and Hodder played Jason in four Friday the 13th movies, the "Jason vs. Jason" angle of Hatchet III's casting is sure to delight horror fans.
