Where In the World Will XIII Go Next?
03.25.13 by REELZ
The first episode of XIII season two premieres this Friday at 10p ET/ 7p P, and it starts with the nameless spy somewhere we've never seen him before. In the first season of the action-packed mystery, the titular character sure racked up some frequent flyer miles, so it's rather amazing that he can still find new places to go. Stuart Townsend's XIII managed to hit seven foreign countries as well as many different locales in the US. So where all did XIII go? We'll run it down for you.

XIII started off his journey in a rendition camp in Romania, and fought his way out even though he had no idea who he was or how he wound up imprisoned in Eastern Europe. He later met up with Jones and found that he may have spent part of his boyhood in Colorado, so he headed out west. There he discovered a person from his past, who may have been his CIA handler, was locked up in Venezuela. The Venezuelan prisoner tried to tell XIII about a man named Seamus who had lived in Ireland, so it was no surprise when XIII decided to cross the Atlantic once again and wound up in the Irish countryside.
Following down the Seamus clue led XIII to a mercenary training camp in Montana, and there he found out that in his earlier, unremembered life, he was sent on a mission in South America. It was in (the fictional country of) Costa Verde where he learned the importance of the three wrist watches that held different components of a computer program, and he followed the trail of one of the watch owners north to Chicago, Illinois.
After finding one watch in the bottom of Lake Michigan, XIII and his partner Agent Jones were hot on the trail of Giordino, the disgraced former head of the CIA, who may have all the answers to XIII's questions. Next, XIII swung by Santa Fe, NM to pick up an accomplice and then they followed Giordino to Moscow. They lost him in Russia, but picked up the scent again on a train in Toronto. Once Giordino was taken care of, the pair found the final watch owner in a bunker in Montana, and discovered that the computer program hidden in the watches could break in to any computer program anywhere. XIII quickly realized the impact a program like that could have, and so he tracked down Gerhardt, the mastermind who had wanted the program in the first place. XIII then confronted Gerhardt in Paris and the final pieces of the mystery were unraveled.
Even a quick summary of XIII's season one itinerary shows that the spy with no name really gets around. Be sure to catch up with him in this week's premiere of XIII.2, where his journey takes even more twists and turns.
