See Tom Hanks' Walt Disney Take On Emma Thompson's P.L. Travers in the First Trailer for Saving Mr. Banks

"I know what he'll do to her — she'll be cavorting and twinkly."
The first trailer for Disney's Saving Mr. Banks has just arrived online, and it features Tom Hanks as an extremely charming Walt Disney and Emma Thompson as a decidedly unpleasant P.L. Travers. Saving Mr. Banks tells the story of how the Disney classic Mary Poppins made it to the big screen, and it turns out that it nearly didn't get made because of the relationship between Disney and Travers. In an interview with Time (via Cinemablend) Thompson declared the Mary Poppins scribe to be the "most difficult person (she had) ever played." Thompson went on to describe Travers as a "woman of quite eye-watering complexity and contradiction" who was "chaotic, confused and morally various."
Though Travers may have been difficult, this new trailer is delightful and has us looking forward to the movie's December 13th release.
