We are very sad to have to report that Fifty Shades of Grey has lost its Christian Grey. Universal Pictures has announced that Charlie Hunnam has dropped out stating “….given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him to adequately prepare for the role..” A role, which we are sure is very difficult. Fans who were not too happy about Hunnman’s casting will be thrilled depending on who is chosen next. As of yet there is no word of an updated cast list but hey, at least Dakota Johnson as Anastasia is staying put…for now.
More trouble for Bieber. The young singer is yet again been accused of assault, this time by a DJ’s tour manager at a club in South Korea. According to reports Justin Bieber requested that the DJ, Michael Woods, play hip-hop music. When Woods refused he punched the tour manager, Alex Madden, in the face. Charming. The club, however, is saying that no punches were thrown so who knows.
The beautiful Lauren Conrad is engaged to her boyfriend of two-years William Tell. The former Hills star made the announcement through her website.
Thanks to audience reviews and positive word-of-mouth Gravity took a strong hold of the weekend box office for the second week running with $44.3 million, and Captain Phillips made a solid debut in second with $26 million. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 dropped into third with $14.2 million, a result below the original movie at the same point (up until now the family flick had been significantly outdoing its predecessor). There were even worse results for Machete Kills in fourth and Runner, Runner in fifth. The Mel Gibson/Sofia Vergara action flick bombed with a $3.8 million debut and the Justin Timberlake/ Ben Affleck thriller went from a bad debut last week to a worse $3.7 million this week.
