Uh oh, it has been a tough week for the Biebs. Not only has he been surpassed by Katie Perry as the most popular person on Twitter, he also had a water bottle thrown at him at his concert in Brazil. The traumatic event happened after the young singer turned up very late for the show and caused him to drop his mic and storm off stage. We're still trying to find some sympathy...
Fortunately not all celebrities are as immature: Lea Michele has spoken to Elle admitting that following the tragic death of Cory Monteith, Kate Hudson came to her rescue. E! News reports that the Glee star states in the article: "I called [Kate Hudson] and said, ‘I don't know where I'm going to go because my house is swarmed [with reporters]. She was like, ‘Oh, you're going to stay at my house. Like it was nothing. No one knew I was there. I'll never really be able to thank her, truly, for what she did for me."
The ‘NSYNC members reunited over the weekend…for band member Chris Kirkpatrick’s wedding. All five members…including Justin Timberlake… showed up to celebrate the joyous occasion as Kirkpatrick and his lady Karly Skladany tied the knot in Florida. We will keep hoping for an actual ‘NSYNC reunion soon.
Emile Hirsch is a Dad! The actor has welcomed his first child, a son, with a former flame E! News reports. Despite no longer being with the baby’s mother the pair have remained friends and plan to raise their son together. Aww, congratulations to the new parents.
The Weekend Box Office
Ender’s Game came out on top of the weekend box office with $28 million. However according to THR, Thor: The Dark World is the movie to watch out for. The latest superhero franchise flick opened to $109.4 million overseas, ahead of its North American debut, setting it up to dominate the domestic box office. Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa held well in its second week dropping to second place with $20.5 million. Last Vegas debuted in third with $16.5 million, a reasonable start for the CBS Films flick, while the animated Free Birds did not meet expectations, at all, and took fourth with $16.2 million. Rounding up the top five was Gravity which dropped steeply earning an estimated $13.1 million, however it is still on pace to make at least $250 million by the end of its run. So not too disappointing then.
