Learn the How-Tos of Dating with This Vintage Short Film

"After all, a girl likes to know you've had a good time."
In Sunday’s episode of Bomb Girls, Betty hits it off with a good looking soldier who's stationed town. Unfortunately, Betty doesn’t have too much experience in dating, and isn't quite sure how it all works. But Betty’s our girl, and we always have her back. That’s why we went and tracked down this 1940’s social guidance flick, “Dating: Do’s and Don’ts”. This video features the world’s slowest reader, Woody, asking the extremely enthusiastic Anne to the “Hi-Teen Carnival.” Like little sister Judy, we think the carnival “doesn’t sound like much,” but fortunately for Woody, Anne thinks cotton candy, fortune tellers, hot dogs and dart games are the awesomest.
Hopefully Betty’s new lady friend can think of something more fun to do than go to a carnival sponsored by the senior high student council, but at least she knows now that remarkably zealous consumption of cotton candy is all it takes to be someone's dream girl.
Catch three episodes of Bomb Girls Sunday at 11am ET/ 8am PT, and don't forget to watch the Memorial Day premiere of the two-hour original movie, Bomb Girls: Facing the Enemy.
