Giant Robots Galore at Terminator Salvation Screening

An online pissing match has broken out between Transformers director Michael Bay and Terminator Salvation director McG over who came up with the idea of giant robots first. Hasn't anyone every told them that it's not the size of the robots that matters? It's what you do with them.
At least in the case of Terminator Salvation we are starting to get a clearer picture of what that might involve. MTV has a report back from Monday's New York screening of early footage from Terminator Salvation and the word is "It's a war film." They got an extended look at at the capabilities of the Harvester terminator, "a massive metal monster with a gun on its head and two legs that release mechanized motorcycles," as well as a glimpse of all new terminator bots, including underwater eels. The director also took time out to talk about the movie's development, explaining that in constructing the character of John Connor, he was influenced by Luke Skywalker, Neo from The Matrix and even ... Jesus Christ.
