Early Bruno Review: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly

AICN has posted an early review of the new Bruno movie from someone who got a peek at a test screening. Not much in the way of spoilers there but some early indications of difficulties that Sacha Baron Cohen had in making the movie and may have in reaching some audiences. Here's a short version.
The good: There are some scenes that were so incredibly funny that they had the reviewer and nearly everyone else in the audience nearly dry heaving. It is, he says, "crazier than anything you've seen in a mainstream theater, and yes, that includes Borat."
The bad: Cohen's notoriety really does appear to making it harder for him to find unwitting victims to prank. Harder, but not impossible. And he's clearly not giving up. The Smoking Gun just published a list of websites of dozens of front companies Cohen has used to try to establish his credibility. And he is disappearing them nearly as fast as they are discovered.
The ugly: The film may just be too gay for Middle America.
The bottom line though is that the movie promises to be one of the funniest of the year.
