Since a 300 sequel was first rumored, what the movie would be about has remained a persistent and puzzling question considering the end of the original movie. Frank Miller, who wrote and illustrated the graphic novel on which the movie as based, has told The LA Times that he has come up with a story for the sequel.
It's the battle of Marathon through my lens. I've finished the plot and I'm getting started on the artwork.
Having Miller create another graphic novel before working on a screenplay has always been the plan according to 300 director Zack Snyder. Miller's storyline will place the action about 10 years prior to the
events in 300, further exploring more Greek history.
Every generation returns to ancient Greece because, well, the stories
are so damn good. The fact and the myth are inseparable and, believe me, when you go sailing for a while in the Aegean Sea, you start believing in Poseidon.
Besides Snyder's probable return, 300 star Gerard Butler has also said he'd consider reprising his role as King Leonidas.
