James Marsden and Russell Brand to Go to I Hop
01.25.10 by Ryan
James Marsden is known for his roles in comic book fare such as the X-Men trilogy and Superman Returns, but THR reports that the actor is set to try some comedy alongside Forgetting Sarah Marshall's Russell Brand in I Hop. The story centers on an unemployed slacker (Marsden) who accidentally injures the Easter Bunny (voiced by Brand) and is forced to take him in as he recovers.
The live-action/CG-animated comedy will be directed by Tim Hill, who wrote The SpongeBob SquarePants movie but may be looking to redeem himself after directing Alvin and the Chipmunks. Brian Lynch (upcoming Shrek spin-off Puss-in-Boots) is writing the screenplay along with Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio, who both wrote The Santa Clause 2 and the upcoming Steve Carrell comedy Dinner For Schmucks.
