Melissa Rosenberg on Adapting The Twilight Saga
03.09.10 by reelz
Melissa Rosenberg, the woman responsible for adapting The Twilight Saga for the big screen, recently spoke to the aptly titled Vampires & Slayers about all things Stephenie Meyer.
When asked about her involvement on third movie Eclipse, Rosenberg said of director David Slade:
David is very used to working with writers, so he's very collaborative. He's very strong visually, he's an artist, so he storyboards everything down to the most minute details. All my rewrites can really be tailored to his visions, he really stays true to his original storyboards.
Rosenberg also goes on to talk about working with directors Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight) and Chris Weitz (New Moon), and how they helped her condense scenes for the book-to-movie adaptation.
What do you think of her work, Twilighters? Has she done a good job of all the major book scenes, or do Bella and Edward need more steamy screen time? Let us know in the comments.
