New Shrek Forever After Teaser Posters and Official Synopsis

DreamWorks has unveiled two new teaser posters for Shrek Forever After, billed as "The Final Chapter" in the Shrek series. Both posters employ a clever turn of phrase, with one showing Shrek (voiced by Mike Myers) in a predicament and the other spotlighting Shrek's new adversary, Rumpelstiltskin (Walt Dohrn).
When DreamWorks first introduced us to Shrek back in 2001, the big green curmudgeon was perfectly content to stay in his swamp being an ogre and doing ogre-type stuff. It took the kindness of the fair Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz), who loved him for who he was on the inside, to soften his tough exterior. In the latest movie, with a plot reminiscent of the classic movie It's a Wonderful Life, Shrek gets a taste of what his life would be like if he never met Fiona. Here's the official synopsis:
After challenging an evil dragon, rescuing a beautiful princess and saving your in-laws' kingdom, what's an ogre to do? Well, if you're Shrek, you suddenly wind up a domesticated family man. Instead of scaring villagers away like he used to, a reluctant Shrek now agrees to autograph pitch forks. What's happened to this ogre's roar? Longing for the days when he felt like a “real ogre,” Shrek is duped into signing a pact with the smooth-talking dealmaker, Rumpelstiltskin. Shrek suddenly finds himself in a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where ogres are hunted, Rumpelstiltskin is king and Shrek and Fiona have never met. Now, it's up to Shrek to undo all he's done in the hopes of saving his friends, restoring his world and reclaiming his one True Love.
Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas also return as the voices of Donkey and Puss in Boots, respectively.
