Lindsay Lohan Cast as Mary Jane Watson in Spider-Man Reboot

Spider-Man 4 director Marc Webb has finally begun casting for the highly anticipated Spidey reboot, today confirming to ReelzChannel that one-time star and tabloid sensation Lindsay Lohan has been chosen to replace Kirsten Dunst as Peter Parker love interest Mary Jane Watson.
Lindsay hasn't really been up to much in the past few years — even if you count the straight-to-DVD Labor Pains — but when I think Mary Jane Watson, Lindsay Lohan immediately comes to mind. Well, OK, maybe not the current version. But certainly the Mean Girls/Herbie version. She was available. She needs a reboot worse than this franchise. It just made sense.
Filming is expected to take place primarily in New York, to accommodate Lohan's upcoming stint at a Long Island rehab center, proposed
by father Michael Lohan to TMZ two days ago.
There is still no word on the casting for Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Logan Lerman has been repeatedly mentioned
as a leading candidate, and now seems to be a virtual shoo-in due to 87-year-old Spider-Man co-creator and creative consultant Stan Lee's somewhat bizarre insistence that the leads' first and last names start with the letter "L."
