Two New Posters for The Losers and Exclusive Kick-Ass Poster from WonderCon

With San Francisco's largest comic convention, WonderCon, opening today, several movie studios with comic book-adapted movies in the pipeline have added an extra little push to their marketing campaigns this week. DC Entertainment's offering includes two new posters for its upcoming The Losers, while Lionsgate has released a new poster for director Matthew Vaughn's Kick-Ass that is exclusive to WonderCon.
The first The Losers poster is a two-sheet "jam" image that includes all of the characters released in last week's series of character posters, with the addition of actor Jason Patric, who plays the antagonist of the movie, in his first poster appearance. The second poster released is a more stylized, comic-inspired poster. Directed by Sylvain White, The Losers stars Idris Elba, Columbus Short, Chris Evans, Óscar Jaenada, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Zoe Saldana.
Like the three posters released during the recent SXSW in Austin, Texas, the exclusive Kick-Ass poster features one of the movie's characters in an homage to classic war propaganda posters. In this case, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage)'s look is inspired by this U.S. propaganda poster that was used to warn against German spies. It is not yet known whether this is a one-off or if Lionsgate will release a Kick-Ass poster during each day of WonderCon as it did during the first three days of SXSW. Kick-Ass also stars Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Mark Strong.
