Movie Wins Annual Peeps Show
04.02.10 by reelz
We've long been fans of The Washington Post's annual Peeps Show — a diorama contest where readers use those sugary bunny and chick marshmallows in the most creative ways. But this year may be our favorite yet, with a movie taking the top honors and seven others represented in the finalists. And just like the Oscars, while Avatar made the nominees, "AVATAR: The 3P Experience" didn't take home the big prize.
Rather, the winning diorama was "EEP," complete with a peep-lifted house and a bespectacled-bunny Carl Fredericksen.
The other movies to make the Peeps Show finalists are Alice In Wonderland ("The Mad Hatter's Peep Party"), Where the Wild Things Are ("Where the Wild Peeps Are"), the upcoming book-to-movie adaptation
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies ("Peeps and Prejudice and Zombies"), 1961's West Side Story ("Peep Side Story"), and the Boris Karloff inspired "A Peep into Dr. Frankenstein's Lab: Master It Lives!"
Check out the complete marshmallow madness, including the non-movie but completely brilliant "The Mad Peeps of Sterling Coopeep" complete with mini tractor.
