James Marsden "Would Not Think Twice" About Returning as Cyclops in X-Men: First Class

Even though Fox's latest installment in the X-Men franchise, X-Men: First Class, focuses on the formative years of "Marvel's Merry Mutants," that doesn't mean that we might not get a chance to see some of the original movie X-Men make an appearance. After all, flashback sequences are a pretty standard movie convention, so why not a flash-forward to the adult team that we all know and love?
In a recent interview with ComingSoon, James Marsden, who played Scott Summers, aka Cyclops, in the first three X-Men movies, admitted that he doesn't know much about First Class, but what he does know is that he would love to be a part of it.
I would not think twice about being part of any incarnation of the X-Men films. Another one I know nothing about but we got to be very close on those movies. It was a family and a formula that really worked. That would really excite me and please me to go back to that. You just have to cross your fingers and hope that it comes together. You want nothing more as an actor to be doing work that people love and the couple of X-Men movies that I was lucky to be a part of were examples of films that worked on so many different levels. It's so rare to be a part of something like that.
Bryan Singer, director of the first two X-Men movies, is producing X-Men: First Class with Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg. No director has been announced.
