Killers Reviews: Go See Marmaduke Instead
06.04.10 by reelz
Killers, starring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl, was not screened for critics, which is almost always a sign of a stinker. Killers looks to be especially smelly, scoring even worse than our already low 4/10 anticipated rating. In fact, it's loses against a talking dog! Perhaps Hollywood will finally realize @aplusk is simply not movie material.
"It's not a perfect film and it's not a piece of cinematic refuse, but Killers is able to find happiness in the middle, and for a glossy studio picture in the beginning of a very disappointing summer, it's not the worst way to spend 100 minutes."
— Jason McKiernen, filmcritic.com
"...a crappy action rom-com..."
— Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly
"Bullets fly and jokes land with a thud in Killers, a deadly dull hubby's-a-hit man farce that alternately resembles a knockoff of 2005's Mr. and Mrs. Smith and a rehash of Knight & Day avant la lettre (before it's even been released)."
— Rob Nelson, Variety
"Utterly unconvincing as action, comedy, or romance it's a colossal waste of time..."
— Geoff Berkshire, Metromix
"Everybody's cyber-pal Ashton Kutcher is perfect casting for Killers, since the screenplay is shallow as a Tweet and the movie appears to have been shot with a Nikon point-and-click camera he plugs on TV."
— Steve Persall, St. Petersburg Times
