Bill Hader Looking Forward to Les Grossman Movie

Bill Hader played the abused assistant to Tom Cruise's foul-mouthed character Les Grossman in 2008's Tropic Thunder, and when Paramount announced they were pursuing a movie spin-off after Grossman's appearance at the MTV Movie Awards, it was assumed that Hader would be along for the ride. The Saturday Night Live actor confirmed to In Touch Weekly that he will return and admitted he can't wait to receive more abuse from Grossman.
I love getting yelled at by him! Having to take that much abuse is pretty funny. It's on a Mr. Smithers-Mr. Burns [of The Simpsons] level!
It's just great watching Tom — even doing those characters again for the MTV Movie Awards was so much fun. He's such a hard worker — and funny, improvising lines — like when [Tom as Les] yelled at Jaden Smith and Will Smith said "Come on, man, he's only 11 years old!" and Tom said, "I don’t care if he’s TEN!" Tom came up with that — on top of everything else, he's really funny.
When Paramount announced the movie, the studio was guarded over what the story might entail, and apparently left Hader in the dark as well.
It could be set on another planet for all I know! I know Mike Bacall, the guy who’s writing it, and they have all of those ideas. He's an insanely talented guy — he wrote Scott Pilgrim vs. the World with Edgar Wright and a great drama called Manic, which Michael also starred in. We could be seeing some addiction and some weird stuff — but the dancing scenes are pretty mandatory!
