Bryce Dallas Howard Reveals that Twilight Fans Are More "Passionate" than Spider-Man Fans

Bryce Dallas Howard has been building a nice resume joining popular movie franchise sequels lately; playing Victoria in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 3, and Kate Connor in Terminator Salvation. Apparently, Spider-Man and Terminator were nothing compared to the intensity of joining the Twilight universe. Howard admitted to MTV that making Eclipse was more intense than the others.
I feel, honestly, pressure being part of it because you don't want to let anyone down. People, myself included, have stayed up at night reading the books over and over and over again, and watching the films over and over and over again, and really loving it so, so intensely. Whereas Spider-Man, people are sentimental about it, they love it and are into it and that kind of stuff. Whereas this is passionate.
We can't disagree with her argument. "Obsessively reading and watching movies" just doesn't sound like your typical comic book fan. In fact, next time someone shows up at a Comic-Con dressed in a homemade Doctor Octopus costume, we'll make sure to congratulate their "sentimental" effort.
Still, it's ironic that Howard should feel so much "pressure" in playing Victoria, considering she admitted she didn't try to change much from the way Rachelle Lefevre portrayed the character in the first two movies.
[T]he role and the character have been established. It's so important to honor that in terms of the storytelling. When I do a film, I always have all these questions that I'm asking myself, and [for Victoria] someone has mastered that and answered all those questions. Why reinvent the wheel? She created an incredible character.
An incredible character that brings an incredible amount of pressure.
