New Saw 3D Trailer and Poster
07.24.10 by Ryan
Saw 3D began its pre-Comic-Con reverie by revealing a new, "eye-popping" motion poster and informally announcing that Saw 3D, the seventh in the Saw franchise, would be the last.
A new teaser trailer for the sequel also has been released during the convention. Check it out after the jump, along with the movie's official synopsis.
The Saw series continues with this seventh entry, spearheaded by returning Saw VI director Kevin Greutert. Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton also are back to pen the script, which details the exploits of serial killer Jigsaw’s surviving victims, who seek counseling from a self-help mentor (Sean Patrick Flanery) whose past as a previous victim figures directly into each one’s fate. Cary Elwes returns to the franchise for the first time since his character survived Jigsaw’s first cinematic outing in 2004.
Lionsgate seems intent on making this latest (and supposedly last, if you trust movie producers) entry the most profitable by releasing the movie in 3-D and even pushing the release date forward a week so it won't compete with Paranormal Activity 2. Saw VI became the least profitable sequel when it opened last year next to Paranormal Activity. Saw 3D will now open on October 29.
