Daniel Craig Joins David Fincher's The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and Wants More Bond

It's busy times for Daniel Craig. Still working on Jon Favreau's adaptation of Cowboys and Aliens, Deadline reports that Craig will move from Cowboys to the American adaptation of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, a thriller based on the first of a trilogy of novels by late Swedish author, Stieg Larsson, that follows a journalist and a computer hacker who examine the 40-year disappearance of a woman.
David Fincher is directing the movie, from a script by Steven Zaillian (American Gangster). A Swedish adaptation was released last year.
With Cowboys and Aliens and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo both as potential franchises, does this mean Craig will skip out on James Bond 23? MGM, the studio that owns the rights to all the James Bond movies, is currently experiencing financial issues that has delayed the upcoming Bond movie, but that doesn't mean Craig isn't interested. While in attendance at the Cowboys and Aliens panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, Craig mentioned that he still wants "to get going on it as quickly as possible."
Until MGM solves its situation, Craig will just keep busy.
