Melissa Rosenberg Talks The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn

Finally, Twilight Saga news is switching from the recently released Eclipse to the much anticipated finale, Breaking Dawn. The big question is: Will the movie live up to expectations? Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who has adapted all of Stephenie Meyer's books, recently spoke to MTV about characters, writing challenges, and one of the most famous birth scenes in literary history. (We think The Nativity still tops it...)
On the plethora of new vampire characters introduced at the end of Breaking Dawn, Rosenberg had this to say.
It's extremely challenging to introduce those new characters because you already have quite a slew of characters to service. The Cullen family is large, the wolf family is large, you have three leads ... finding room for all of them is a challenge. For me, it is about pulling forward the ones that are essential and really making sure they have a presence.
Rosenberg also addressed rumors of omitting Bella's birthing scene and Jacob's POV section.
I don't know where that idea came from, but of course the birthing scene is going to be in. We are going to see Jacob's perspective equally, so don't worry.
Fans of Meyer's saga can breathe a sigh of relief now that they have confirmation of key scenes being written into the script. Whether they'll thank Rosenberg afterwards is another story — Bella's birth scene could either be epically awesome or seriously disturbing. We're guessing it'll be a PG-13 mix of both.
