New Beastly Poster, Plus Behind-the-Scenes Featurette

News on Daniel Barnz's movie version of Alex Flinn's popular young adult novel Beastly has been a little on the slow side recently, with only trailers and a couple of cast interviews made readily available to fans. This is most likely due to the movie's original July 2010 release date being moved to March 2011, which was announced on the official Beastly Facebook page.
But at least a new poster for the movie was released on the Facebook page, showing main stars Alex Pettyfer (Stormbreaker) and Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical) staring longingly into each other's eyes. The tagline states "Love is Never Ugly," for reasons that are, well, visibly clear.
A previously released behind-the-scenes featurette sees Pettyfer and Hudgens talking in more detail about their characters, their romance, and how Beastly is all about our different perceptions of beauty. Pettyfer offered up this succinct explanation of his character Kyle, and then went on to talk about the romantic elements of the story.
Kyle's going from a young man who's obsessed with his own vanity and can't see the beauty of life, to someone who is not the best conventionally good-looking guy.
See the featurette below, and find out just why teen favourite Alex Pettyfer was selected to undergo such a drastic transformation.
