Several More Additions to X-Men: First Class

According to screenwriter Jane Goldman, production on director Matthew Vaughn's X-Men prequel, X-Men: First Class, is only "about three weeks" away, yet the cast continues to swell on a daily basis. On Sunday, it was reported that frequent Vaughn collaborator Jason Flemying would be joining the cast as Azazel, a demonic-looking mutant. On Monday, Oliver Platt was added to the roster as the mysterious "Man in Black." On Tuesday, popular movie news site Deadline revealed that January Jones would be playing the role of Emma Frost and not Alice Eve, as originally thought. Additionally, Deadline has reported that Zoë Kravitz (No Reservations), Bill Milner (Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll), and Morgan Lily have all joined the cast
Kravitz, the daughter of actress Lisa Bonet and rocker Lenny Kravitz, will reportedly play Angel, a character that in the comic books was a founding member of the X-men and, incidentally, a white male named Warren Worthington III. As strange as that casting may sound, what's even stranger is that the character of Angel was played by Ben Foster in X-Men: The Last Stand and Foster and Kravitz used to be an item. Milner will apparently play young Erik Lehnsherr, the boy who eventually becomes the evil mutant leader of The Brotherhood known as Magneto. Michael Fassbender will play the adult Lehnsherr in First Class. Similarly, Lily will play the younger version of the character that Jennifer Lawrence will play, Raven Darkhölme, aka Mystique.
X-Men: First Class is based on a story idea by producer Bryan Singer, who also directed the first two X-Men movies. The cast includes James McAvoy, Kevin Bacon, Nicholas Hoult, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, and Edi Gathegi. Rose Byrne is also rumored to be in negotiations for a role in the movie.
