Ryan Reynolds Negotiating to Enter a Safe House

Ryan Reynolds' busy schedule just got busier. Last week, Reynolds was considered the top contender for a role in the Universal movie Safe House, opposite Denzel Washington. Deadline reports that Universal is negotiating with the actor to join the project.
Safe House, which will follow Reynolds as a CIA agent who survives an attack on a safe house, and must transport a criminal (Washington) to safety, is one of several projects Reynolds plans to shoot over the next year. Daniel Espinosa (Snabba Cash) is directing the movie from a script by newcomer David Guggenheim. The script was the subject of a bidding war amongst studios in February.
Having wrapped production on Green Lantern, Reynolds' next movie is The Change-Up, a comedy that Reynolds will shoot with Jason Bateman in October, with Safe House to follow next year.
After Safe House, Reynolds has two comic book movies lined up, the supernatural cop movie R.I.P.D. and Deadpool, a spin-off of Reynolds' wise-cracking assassin from X-Men Origins: Wolverine. While Reynolds may have to choose only one, reportedly, Reynolds wants to do both.
Then, there's Green Lantern 2, which Warner Bros. is rumored to want to start shooting
back-to-back with Green Lantern 3 before the first Green Lantern begins. According to the Deadline report, Warner Bros. is targeting a 2011 start for Green Lantern 2. Screenwriter Michael Goldenberg is writing the screenplay.
Of course, there's also the romantic comedy Most Wanted, to which Reynolds is also attached. The comedy will reunite the actor with his The Proposal co-star, Sandra Bullock. There is no start date announced for that project.
