Nikki Reed Explains Rosalie's Breaking Dawn Motives

The Twilight Saga's Nikki Reed, aka Rosalie Hale, recently spoke to MTV about her character's motives in the upcoming Breaking Dawn movie. When asked about her personal opinions on Renesmee's birth potentially harming Bella, the 22-year-old actress had this to say.
Here's how I look at it: I try not to be super opinionated and vocal, because in Hollywood, that seems to only lead you in the wrong direction. I try to relate this particular case to Rosalie and not make it metaphorical or symbolic of anything else.
Fans of the saga will know all about Rosalie's tragic past, thanks to husband Royce King's involvement in her death, seen as a flashback in Eclipse. Reed went on to discuss Rosalie's character, and her actions during Breaking Dawn's controversial birth scene.
I think that Rosalie just always wanted to be a mom, and that's how I look at it. It has nothing to do with being pro-life or anything. I think it's about her want, her need to be a mother, and this is the only opportunity she's ever going to have, so she's willing to let Bella die so she can have that and fulfill that, and that's how I look at it. It's her own personal desires.
Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg also chipped in on the subject of Renesmee's birth, saying, "I want to see the terror of the experience. I want to have the experience of the fear and feel her pain. I want to feel everyone's pain in this."
So, Twilighters, is this a scene you're particularly looking forward to seeing on the big screen, or do you think it would be better left on the page? Let us know in the comments.
