With Jeremy Renner now officially on board Paramount's Mission: Impossible 4, Production Weekly used their Twitter to announce the latest casting for the upcoming sequel.
Paula Patton will play female lead role in Paramount's "Aries" (aka Mission: Impossible 4), filming is scheduled to begin early December.
Patton was last seen earlier this year in the romantic comedy Just Wright and last year in Precious. Deadline reported last week that Patton was testing for the role of a female operative alongside Kristin Kreuk (Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li) and Lauren German (Hostel Part II).
Patton will join a cast that includes Tom Cruise,
Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and Renner. Director Brad Bird (Incredibles) will make his live-action directing debut with Mission: Impossible 4, from a script by Alias writers Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec. The sequel opens December 16, 2011.
