Director Matthew Vaughn just started shooting X-Men: First Class last week and already set photos have made their way online. A prequel to the X-Men trilogy, First Class is set in the 1960s and follows a young Charles Xavier (James McAvoy), a.k.a. Professor X, and the rift that grows between him and fellow mutant Erik Lensherr (Michael Fassbender), a.k.a. Magneto. X-MenFilms reports that the early scenes involved
Charles Xavier attending Oxford University debating the mutant phenomenon, and Erik Lensherr dealing with the horrifying events in Auschwitz via a flashback sequence.
The other early scenes apparently involve January Jones as Emma Frost. INF Daily grabbed some photos from the First Class set, with Jones in a retro white outfit and shown running by a Russian jeep and riding in a small military helicopter. Considering that producer Bryan Singer has revealed that the movie won't strictly follow the comic book source, the context of the scene is unknown.
A younger version of Emma Frost appeared in (played by Tahyna Tozzi), but clearly that continuity is not a factor for First Class.
