Red Dawn and Cabin in the Woods Pushed into the Abyss

While MGM may prevail in climbing out of its deep, cavernous hole of debt, the same cannot necessarily be said of two of the studio's upcoming movies whose release dates have been pushed into the unknown.
ComingSoon reports that the remake of Red Dawn, starring Thor's Chris Hemsworth and originally set for a November 26 release, will now open at a date to be determined.
Similarly, The Cabin in the Woods, written by The Avengers director Joss Whedon and also starring Hemsworth, will not open on January 14, 2011, but instead will sit on the shelf along with Red Dawn until MGM can regain financial solvency.
Also wallowing in MGM's financial woes are The Hobbit and James Bond 23, which are both arguably more of a priority for the studio.
