Emma Stone to Star in 21 Jump Street and Spider-Man?

Emma Stone grabbed attention with her roles in Zombieland and Superbad, and her work may be keeping her busy for a while. Variety reports that the actress may land the female lead role in two upcoming reboots, 21 Jump Street and Spider-Man.
The probability of Stone stepping into 21 Jump Street seems high, considering her Superbad co-star Jonah Hill is writing and starring in the movie. Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs's Phil Lord is directing, with production set to start in early 2011.
The casting situation could get complicated if Stone is cast as one of two female leads in Spider-Man, which starts shooting this December. For competition, three actresses remain from the list of contenders revealed in August: Lily Collins (The Blind Side), Teresa Palmer (The Sorcerer's Apprentice), and Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland). The report claims that all three actresses are still being considered by the studio.
While Stone's natural red hair would seemingly make her a lock for the part of Mary Jane Watson, Parker's love interest in the previous Spider-Man movies, the love interest role is reportedly not Mary Jane, but another, unspecified character. The Variety report claims that the studio had "no comment" on which role Stone is up for.
Marc Webb is directing Spider-Man, with Andrew Garfield stepping into the role of Peter Parker. The untitled reboot opens July 3, 2012.
