Zach Galifianakis (Briefly) Updates The Hangover 2

Not much has been revealed so far about The Hangover 2, director Todd Phillips' follow-up to last year's enormously successful comedy. Phillips has previously said that the sequel won't take place in Las Vegas again, nor will it be set in Thailand or Mexico. Phillips did mention a November 1 start date for production. Hangover actor Zach Galifianakis told HitFix that he has seen the script for the sequel.
I saw the script and we start shooting it very soon. Quite excited about shooting it. The script is quite good. It's hard because the movie was such a big thing, to top that will be difficult. As far as the script goes, we're half-way there.
"Quite good" sounds all right, but Galifianakis was more effusive last week. In an interview with MTV, the actor mentioned that he thinks "this script is better than the first movie."
While both of Galifianakis' comments add up to a very brief update, there are a few rumors floating around to keep fans' speculations skills busy. While Phillips has denied the Thailand location, rumors insist that the sequel is set in the country. ComingSoon reported in July that "a source" confirmed Thailand as the location and that "Phillips' [previous] comments seem to be a case of misdirection on his part." Spicy!
ShowbizSpy also reports that Renee Zellweger may appear in the sequel as someone who meets the friends and hooks up with one of them, only it won't be off-screen boyfriend Bradley Cooper. Saucy!
Of course, we would like to point out, both of these rumored reports are unconfirmed at this point, and shouldn't be taken too seriously until confirmation, or denial, occurs.
