Morgan "Lucius Fox" Freeman Hints at Multiple Villains in Batman 3

Sir Michael Caine is notorious for being loose-lipped when it comes to the Batman franchise in which he has twice played Bruce Wayne's (Christian Bale) butler and confidante, Alfred, but he's not alone. Academy Award-winner Morgan Freeman — who portrayed Wayne's tech and hardware expert, Lucius Fox, in the first two Batman movies — has offered up his own share of speculation about the sequel to The Dark Knight in the past. In December of last year, long before the recent announcement that director Christopher Nolan would return to direct Batman 3 (working title), Morgan said that he was sure that Nolan was working on the movie and that he hoped to see Catwoman scratch her way into the sequel. MTV recently caught up with Freeman and asked him about his previous comments and Freeman said that it was a no-brainer that Nolan return to the franchise.
There was never any doubt in anybody's mind after Dark Knight hit the streets [that Nolan would return]. We know Warner Brothers would say "Whatever! What do you want? As long as you give us a third."
When asked about his previously stated preference for Catwoman, Freeman said that he still hoped to see the feline vixen appear in Batman 3, but admitted that he did not really know if Nolan had her in mind. He also hinted that there might be multiple villains in Batman 3.
Well, yes and no. But I don't know if [the Catwoman] is going to be [Nolan's] choice. There's been talk of the Riddler, the Joker — I don't mean the Joker — the Penguin. Philip Seymor Hoffman as the Penguin, and that sounds interesting to me. So we'll wait and see. And there just may be more than one.
