Scripts for Green Lantern 2 and The Flash Due Before Year's End

At this year's New York Comic-Con, DC Entertainment Creative Director Geoff Johns revealed a plan that would see parent company Warner Bros. release two movies a year featuring DC characters once Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 opens next year. Looks like two DC projects are getting closer to production. According to Deadline, the scripts for The Flash and Green Lantern 2 are due by the end of the year.
The story for The Flash was created by Green Lantern screenwriters Marc Guggenheim, Greg Berlanti, and Michael Green, with Green and Guggenheim writing the script. All three writers are collaborating on the story for Green Lantern 2, while Michael Goldenberg will handle the scripting duties.
Rumors have Berlanti directing The Flash, but, according to an insider who spoke to Deadline, he "won't want to direct it because he kinda wants to do something in between size-wise first before attempting something that large." However, if Warner Bros. likes the script, the report claims Berlanti could be offered the gig. It all depends on the script, which is set to arrive at Warner Bros. somewhere "between Thanksgiving and Christmas."
The treatment for Green Lantern 2 is also set to arrive by the end of the year.
