Warner Bros. Wants Another Inception

After the massive success of The Dark Knight, director Christopher Nolan took a calculated risk with his thriller Inception. However, after three weeks at the top of the box office and $810 million worldwide, Nolan was rewarded for his inventive and original thriller. Unsurprisingly, Warner Bros. is asking Nolan for another trip through the dreamscape.
According to What's Playing, an insider at Warner Bros. informed the Australian site that the studio wants another Inception.
Doesn’t make a lick of sense creatively, but financially? Well ... it made "a lot" of money for them. Can't imagine Nolan wanting to do a sequel, let alone direct one. Also don't imagine [Warners president] Jeff [Robinov] would want to piss off Nolan by doing one around him. All interest is on the studio side at this stage.
With Nolan preparing to shoot Batman 3, an Inception sequel isn't likely any time soon, even if Nolan decides he would like to pursue one. Should Batman 3 enjoy the same box office success of The Dark Knight, it's doubtful Nolan will have to do anything other than a project of his own choosing.
