David Arquette continues to use Howard Stern as his therapist, telling the Sirius/XM shock jock he's "been drinking a lot." In October, immediately after the news of his separation from Courtney Cox, Arquette told Stern, along with his millions of listeners, that he cheated on Cox (with 28-year-old bartender Jasmine Waltz). But yesterday's interview marked a new low, with Arquette's behavior prompting Stern to sincerely ask, "Are you having a nervous breakdown?"
Winona Ryder knew Mel Gibson was a drunk, homophobic anti-Semite years before the rest of us. In an interview with GQ, Ryder says that 15 years ago she was at a Hollywood party with a gay friend, and bumped into a "very drunk" Gibson, who told a "really horrible" gay joke, and when Ryder's Judaism came up he "said something about 'oven dodgers.'"
Gibson's hand-puppet comedy The Beaver got a release date late yesterday. The movie, originally scheduled to be part of this year's Oscars race, will now open in limited release Wednesday, March 23, before expanding on April 8.
Lindsay Lohan, just a few days from freedom from the Betty Ford Center, has resumed her practice of shilling on Twitter, repeatedly pitching 50% off on a gift card from Organize. Repeatedly out of work, she apparently needs the money.
Amy Adams is going out of her way to shed the good girl image she's cultivated, appearing in a deep, deep-plunging top for the January issue of Marie Claire, and telling the magazine she lost her post baby weight by pole dancing.
The trailer for the Robert Pattison–Reese Witherspoon (Pattinspoon) movie Water for Elephants has dropped. If the history of non-Twilight RPattz movies are any guide, the Depression-era love story will land in theaters on April 15 with a resounding thud.
