Josh Brolin Happy with the Men in Black 3 Script; Will Sharlto Copley Appear?

While shooting for Men in Black III began in November, it's going on a two-month hiatus later this month. Sony claims the hiatus was created so that production could "shoot certain exteriors in warmer weather," but reports also say that script issues could be playing a part. Reportedly screenwriter Jeff Nathanson (Rush Hour 3) was brought in to re-work the original script written by Etan Cohen and David Koepp, specifically the time-travel sections, where Will Smith goes back to 1969 and encounters a younger version of Tommy Lee Jones, played by Josh Brolin.
MTV asked Brolin about the Men in Black III script, and whether he was happy with it. "Sure," Brolin dryly responded before getting serious. "It's not Jonah Hex. No, it's great, it's fantastic, but that's all I can say."
Another Men in Black III report is also being refuted (somewhat). In October, actor Sharlto Copley was announced as being cast as a fast-talking alien in the sequel, but Copley told Collider this week that his participation isn't a done deal.
I haven't confirmed Men in Black 3. That's still a rumor that broke early, although I am looking at it and talking about it and considering whether it's the right thing, on both sides. I was a big fan of the first movie. So, we'll see what happens.
Director Barry Sonnenfeld returns for the third installment, having helmed the previous two movies. Emma Thompson, Betty White, Jemaine Clement, and Nicole Scherzinger co-star.
