It's Green Hornet Versus Kato in Latest Green Hornet Clip

Columbia Pictures' long-delayed The Green Hornet adaptation finally opens this week and fans will get the chance to decide for themselves whether Seth Rogen has what it takes to play a superhero or not. If you've been following news about the movie, then you know that Rogen, who also co-wrote The Green Hornet with Evan Goldberg (Superbad, Pineapple Express), did not set out to make a typical superhero movie, but rather to "subvert the genre." For example, instead of being the straight-laced, square-jawed Boy Scout that you see in most superhero movies, Rogen describes the title character as a "douchebag" who is "not a hero ... in any way, shape, or form", and his sidekick, Kato (Jay Chou), does most of the actual crimefighting.
The latest preview clip from The Green Hornet also provides another example of how superhero conventions are tossed out the window, with the hero and sidekick duking it out during a petty squabble. Could you imagine Batman and Robin solving their differences this way?
The Green Hornet was directed by Michel Gondry (Be Kind Rewind). Cameron Diaz, Tom Wilkinson, Edward Furlong, Edward James Olmos, and Academy Award-winner Christoph Waltz also star.
