Jerry Bruckheimer Launches New Site; Reveals The Lone Ranger Movie Logo

Super-producer Jerry Bruckheimer recently used his personal Twitter account to announce the "soft launch" of his new website, JBFilms, which includes news, photos, and videos about the many TV shows (CSI, The Amazing Race) and movies (Pirates of the Caribbean, National Treasure) that Bruckheimer has produced. The site, though still a work-in-progress, will also be used to tease new TV shows and movies in development, like director Gore Verbinski's The Lone Ranger. Unfortunately, the site does not include any new information about The Lone Ranger's plot or casting, but it does reveal the new logo for the movie.
Originally, it had been announced that the script for The Lone Ranger was to be written by Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio, who wrote or had a hand in writing the first three movies in Bruckheimer's Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. However, Justin Haythe (Revolutionary Road) was hired to pen the script in February 2010 and it is unknown at this time whether he is working from the Elliott and Rossio script or whether he is starting from scratch. So far, the cast only includes Johnny Depp as the Lone Ranger's Native American partner, Tonto. No actors have been mentioned in connection with the lead role, though Depp recently said that either Brad Pitt or George Clooney would be "great" for the part.
